The Heavens May Fall is one of those books that will keep you guessing until the last page. Detective Max Rupert is certain that Jennavieve Pruitt was killed by her husband Ben, but is Max simply looking at the case with blinders on. Max's wife Jenni was killed four years ago and her killer was never found. Is Max searching for justice for his wife and Ben is simply caught up in the crosshairs or did Ben brutally murder Jennavieve Pruitt?
Boady Sanden hasn't been in a courtroom for years, but when his friend Ben calls and asks him to represent him, Boady believes his friend is innocent and agrees to provide his defense. Will Boady be haunted by his past experience in the courtroom, or will he get the acquittal he believes Ben is due?

The Heavens May Fall is a very suspenseful read and I enjoyed it very much. This book should definitely be your next read. I also think it would make a good book club discussion book.
