I absolutely fell in love with Dorothy Draper when I first encountered her in the fiction novel The Grand Design by Joy Callaway.  I have been eager to learn more about her real life and designs so I couldn't want to jump into The Draper Touch.  

I so enjoyed learning more about Dorothy Draper's personal life, her family, her contemporaries and of course her revolutionary designs.  If you are interested in learning more about this female iconic designer that paved the way for women's careers in interior design, I recommend that you pickup this beautiful book.  The photos are stunning and I enjoyed the opportunity to take a step back in time to the beautiful spaces Dorothy Draper created.

Tomorrow, Tomorrow, and Tomorrow is the story of Sam Masur and Sadie Green, their friendship, their video games and so much more.  

At first, I was skeptical about whether I would be able to relate to this book.  College students making a video game didn't really seem like a book that was going to speak to me, but I really loved The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry by the author so I thought I'd give it a try.  I don't regret even one page of this book!  It is absolutely a beautiful story about relationships and the bond of friendship.  The characters are so well written and developed that you travel the 30 year journey of this friendship right along each bumpy beautiful turn.  This book is full of all of the emotions a life long friendship had and I am so thankful that I got a front row seat.  

If you are looking for a novel to dive into and think about the friendships you have had over the years, this is a wonderful book.  I received this book courtesy of the publisher through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I've been a lifelong fan of Dolly Parton and was so excited to hear about this novel that she had written with James Patterson.

Run, Rose, Run is just exactly what I would expect from Dolly Parton, and I do have high expectations.  You feel completely immersed in the country music world as you watch Annie Lee navigate the country music business.  And of course, Ruth Anna reminds me of Dolly herself as she helps to mold the new singer.  I listened to the audio book while I was reading the novel, and it really added to my appreciation of the book.  Dolly Parton narrates the voice of country music icon Ruth Anna and Kelsea Ballerini provides the voice for Annie Lee.  There is a real depth to the novel outside of the glimpse into the country music world that gives the book a greater meaning.

I thoroughly enjoyed Run, Rose, Run and hope Dolly has more novels in the works.
