Arden Arrowood experienced a traumatic experience most of us can only imagine. Arden's twin sisters were kidnapped from their front yard when they were playing with Arden and under her care. While Arden was but a child herself, she has struggled her whole life to move forward. She recently inherited Arrowood, the family estate, and immediately made plans to return to her childhood home. Arden soon comes to realize moving home may provide more questions than answers.
Arrowood is a suspense filled novel that kept me guessing until the last page. I wasn't sure which characters could be trusted and who to suspect. Arrowood is also a powerful novel of memories and youth. Laura McHugh is a fresh new voice in suspense and I highly recommend reading both her novels. She really brings to life the characters and settings of her novels. The Arrowood home played an active role in the book and I enjoyed every moment.
I received this novel courtesy of Random House Publishing Group through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
