The Eighth Guardian By Meredith McCardle is a science fiction/ futuristic/ mystery novel. This book is about a girl named Amanda who is a junior at Peel Academy . At Peel Testing Day comes without warning. Testing Day is when all the juniors and seniors go through intense testing for people to see if they are ready to graduate and become government operatives. Amanda already plans that she will head to CIA with her boyfriend Abe. The CIA is where most graduates go. But she plans to go there next year because no juniors have graduated in decades. When they graduates are announced there is a big surprise and Amanda finds herself having to make decisions dealing with her family, Abe, and more. I recommend this book to kids ages 12+ with parents consent for the use of language. I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. I hope you enjoy The Eighth Guardian By Meredith McCardle.
